Hello my friends,

I´m brazilian, planning a trip to Bonaire next september (between 5th and 18th). Travelling with non-diving girlfriend, I´m searching a buddy to dive.

I´m not very experienced (no more that 15 dives ever). Any other hint would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Fernando

I will be glad to dive with you some of the time.

Thanks Linnea... I´ll certainly make contact directly by e-mail.

Question: is it safe to make solo diving there? I´m sure that some other day I won´t be able to find someone to dive with.

Fernando --

If you sign up for a boat dive, it is easy to get a dive buddy (see post from Purple Twins). If you ask around at your resort and/or dive op, you may find others as well.

IMHO, solo diving is not a good idea for someone of your experience level. Many do dive solo (including me), but those who elect to dive solo do so: a) after many, many dives; b) with some equipment redundancy; and c) a fair amount of knowledge about the specific dive site.

Fernando- Bonaire is a great place to solo dive,I enjoyed it, but you need to get some more experience before you go there.I was in the same situation ( no buddy) and was able to hook up with or tag along with lots of folks! Get some more dives in the log book before going solo!
