We found a great dive operation in Cozumel that uses steel 120 tanks in place of the usual aluminum 80's to allow you to maximize bottom time. Anyone in Bonaire offer this?

Hi Pam,

The nice difference on Bonaire is that you can shore dive whenever you want to, wherever you'd like to, as much as you want to (within safety limits of course) 24/7 with nobody setting any "time" constraints on you the way a typical 2-tank boat charter does.

It is the home of Total Diving Freedom. If I'm there doing my 5-6 dives a day, I don't much feel any pressure to extend my bottom times much on each dive. I could always just stay above 40FSW and have a great LONG time and still see everything the reefs have to offer.

The tech shops on island may in fact rent larger tanks, but unless you're going the tech route it may prove to be a non-issue for you.

Have a great time.

Gregg -- I would take you up on the tickets but we will be in Bonaire in Aug and even though we are big time Parrotheads I don't think I would leave Bonaire! Getting tickets in NE is really hard and this year's concert at Fenway sold out in 45 minutes. We have travelled to NYC and NJ just because we were able to get tickets there. Did you catch the Today show last week??

didn't watch the Today show last week but have seen it previously...tickets don't last 10 min for the Cinti and Pittsburg shows...we were only able to get 4 tickets to Cinti (they used to allow you to purchase 8 at once but changed it to 4 at once)...we were not able to get an additional 4 tickets. We tried for Pittsburg and got 8 so we will go to Pitts over labor day...both Pitts and Cinti are open air lawn concerts...much more fun

Gregg August is a busy time for us, it would be hard to leave. But it sure would be fun!
