I am staying at the Dive Inn in Oct for a week and will be without a dive buddy or car. I have always stayed at the Divi in the past and did all my diving off the Divi boats and shore dives at the Divi's reef with my usual dive buddy.
That said, why would I dive with Dive Inn dive operation vs. Divi's dive operation? Pleae give me your pros and cons keeping in mind the two factors - no dive buddy, no car for shore dives.
I can see that Dive Inn diving is less expensive - that's the first advantage for them, my very good experience (5 years now)with Divi is a + for them and the potential to find dive buddies on the Divi dock too for my shore dives at the Divi.

I think you've answered your own question...5 years of very good experience... however, in addition...you can leave your gear at the Divi dive shack and get your tanks right on the dock..rinse tanks are on the dock...at Dive Inn, you will have to haul your gear and tanks across the street and out to the dock (boat)... as you know, it is a very short walk from Dive-Inn to Divi dock.

Why did you move from staying at Divi?

My husband and I stayed at the Divi just a couple of weeks ago. We had practically just gotten home when I was invited to go with a friend in October, alone, sharing costs. She also goes once a year with her husband. So, she and I wanted to go economical for this trip. She snorkels, does not dive. I am perfectly happy with the Divi and most likely will go back there again next year with my husband and son.
