Last year while in Cozumel we experience lots of stings/bites that the locals said were from sea lice. We're headed to Bonaire in May and intend to be prepared. Question one: can we expect to encounter sea lice in Bonaire in May? Question two: Any suggestions on treatment or prevention (wetsuit and skins did not help prevent)?

Hi, Stephen!! We were in Cozumel last May and we also were stung by the Sea Lice, (which I understand is actually larva of those little Brown Button looking jellyfish that float near the top of the water.....and in May only I believe.) I've been to Bonaire in May 2 times and have never seen these jellies or been stung by them or any other creature.
I'm sure there are stinging things out there, but I've not encountered anything. Lots of Fire Coral though, so wear your wetsuit!
