I was wondering what the weather is like in March, I was first there in June of last year and both the water and air were nice and warm

I am planning a trip with my boys in June, but I might just get myself back to the island for a pre-vacation-vacation. You know, just to make sure that it is still safe for the boys, make sure Pasa Bon has not closed, check for wild donkeys, and all..... no, really, that would be the reason...

Dave the water there in March is almost exactly like the water their in June..or February for that matter....it is almost a constant....you can't have really bad weather in Bonaire....thats why we go twice (or more) a year...guaranteed good diving and weather...they do have rainy seasons, verses dry seasons....but the rain does not last long enough to mess up the dives...

And it is more turquoise in color! unless you go to the salt flats ...when it turns from pink to green.....

David... my wife and I were there in March of 2000 for a week. The water started out relatively warm, but after 4 dives/day for 5 days it got COLD! I suspect our core body temps dropped over the days and by the end of the trip we were freezing in 3mils. I would have loved to have a 7mil with me but I wouldn't have had the room in the suitcase and the locals would have laughed us off the island! I don't recall the exact temps (and I don't have my dive log with me to check) but I remember the water being between 75 and 80 degrees.

I suspect it would only have been the tourists who laughed you off the island -- I happen to know that some locals actually use 7mm's themselves... :)

Yeah! Like me.
Feel safe and secure in the knowledge that I get out my 2 piece 8mm suit for when the waters dip below 80F. Most of the woman divemasters I've met also wear the heavier suits because of core temp loss doing all those dives.

I have a 5mm one piece for toasty water.
