This might sound a little crazy but is Klein Bonaire too far to swim to? I enjoy distance swimming especially in open water and a mile or 2 isnt too much of a problem. Is there good distance swimming available in Bonaire? I am glad that there are'nt too many predators down there also...Thanks!!

Denis
I don't think the distance would be a problem for any good swimmer. Current strength and direction should be considered of coarse. But I think the thing to be concerned about would be getting run over by a boat. It could ruin your day.

I did swim the distance twice. From Captain Don's Habitat straight across towards Ebo's Reef and then I made a right turn and swam along the shore to get out of the water at No Name Beach. It's not the length of the swim, but the fact that no boat driver will expect you there. Since I used to work at Habitat, I had a fellow instructor driving the dinghy and tailing after me.
