My husband and I are planning a trip in July. What are conditions like at that time. Temps, winds, etc. Any comments? What is the visibility? Is there an optimum time of the year for diving in Bonaire? Thanks!!!

Jeanne, I agree...anytime is good on Bonaire. Last July, vis on my checkout dive was about 150 feet...there was some residual due to a hurricane near San Juan, and vis dropped to about 50 feet by the last day, but that is still better than we get locally! It's 90, but HOT! And humid as well. Water was about 84F

we were there this past summer from the beginning of july to mid-august. vis was good almost every day, water temps in the low 80's, air temps in the upper 80's to low 90's. it was windy the first week of july, dropped to normal breeze by the end of july, and then the wind died almost totally by mid-august.
