Hi. I'll be coming to Bonaire for my first time over Thankgiving and other than bringing my dive gear, I have no idea how to pack for the evenings. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I get cold easily

Hey Julie, my gang adopts the island casual attire for evenings on Bonaire.

The gulls will usually carry a wrap in case the night breeze become a bit much on the sunburn. You will be comfortable in shorts, shirt, sandals. For Thanksgiving we tend to get "dressed up" with the men in a nice (but loud) shirt and dress short or slacks. Women wear much the same, but a wrinkle free light dress (sarong) always draws a few stares.

If you get cold easily, wear long pants and carry a light windbreaker or jacket on the plane, then you can use the jacket for dining or sitting outside in the evening if it does get cool. I usually take a couple of sarong wraps which are good for coverups, pack small, and work well as shawls.

I tend to chill easily, and generally need long pants and long sleeves at night (except when I was there in August, which is much warmer). Thin, t-shirt type material is fine, just need the covering. Also helps keep the bugs off the legs. (I also wear socks! -- What a wimp!)
