Hello, I forgot what time the sun usually sets down there. We'll be there in early January. Thanks!

Usually just about dark.........Just kidding, good question, we're gonna be there from 1/14-28 and I was wondering about daylight time (plus I'm shooting for 100 total posts before the end of the weekend)

Jane
The Sun will set at 6:23 on Jan 7 and at 6:34 on Jan 28 and of course in between during those 3 weeks. It seems it varies less than an hour all year. Mickey

That's because it is so close to the equator. It is a "constant", just about. Not too many surprises when it comes to weather or sunrise/sunsets on Bonaire. Another reason to love it to pieces!! LOL. Carole

PS The fact that there is no daylight savings time on Bonaire makes it easier to estimate the cycles/times, as well.

Try http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/78990.html for current weather and things like risings and settings.

The 'Star Chart' link by the moon phases images in the link above allows finding any rising/setting, et al, at any time of year. Really a neat astronomical thing for anywhere in the world.

Glen, thanks for the link and tip. The site provides the answer to a question I've long held, namely, during which months The Southern Cross (Crux)can be seen from Bonaire.
