I'm gonna use the nitrox/morpho mix....it gets me to 30,000 feet so 200 should be no problem

On a more serious note about the 200 ft plus range. Bob Killorin and I will be looking for a wreck in the 250 to 300 ft depth range the end of this month. Rec Tek Scuba and Capt. Don's Habitat will be the support operations for this expedition.

And on a less serious note: Any recreational divers want to join us?? It's only about a 3-hour round trip. We will also only consume around 280 to 300 cu ft of gas during the dive and deco.

To answer your question yes diving to 200ft is possible. The Windjammer wreck will put you at 200 if you swim to the crows nest on the ships mast. Karpata will put you well past 200ft while still very close to shore, due to steep slope. You can hit 200ft plus in front of Buddy Dive, but long swim out from the reef. Use proper redundant equipment and dive safe!

200 feet is quick north of the power station and south of town--there is a sand bridge between Klein and the main island. But...there is little to see below 100 feet or so on that steep slope. Very few fish, some coral. I have checked out most of the length of the island. Better to spend the time at the bottom break along the sand bridge. Lots of action, especially at the afternoon change of light.

We have an ongoing project to survey the reef slope between 100 and 300 ft. We have found many anchors and other interesting things. So yes there are things to see as deep as 400 ft where we found an anchor at the end of a chain that went over the 3rd drop off.
