Dumb question, but I have only ever done boat dives where the boats marked the dive site. If we are shore diving, do we need to bring out a floating flag and anchor it to warn boaters?

hey Cynthia- I asked the same question too before going to Bonaire!!! Here in Florida it is mandatory- so much nicer in Bonaire, and you really don't need to worry about boaters and your safety, there is little boat traffic and they were all considerate when I was there.

Good question, I was wondering. I plan on bringing some snorkel/SASY divers and I was wondering what we had to float (if anything).
