Hey, folks. Is the only way to get to the webcam underwater by boat? The shore 200 ft or so north of where Jake and Linda's place is looks a bit treacherous for entry or exit. Any ideas?

Norther Exposure, I think the only beach entry is the one you are speaking of. BTW, Sept 4rth is the get together...give us a ring or stop by after the 2nd:-)

NE, Where are you??? I've been watching the street cam 24/7! I wish I could answer your question, but I am not sure where to get to the webcam. How 'bout it, Kelly? At any rate, your denzions of fans are anxiously waiting to see you and the others on the cams - and to hear about your adventure! School starts tomorrow, so my students and I will be cam-watching throughout the day. Have you found the bus?

Small Wall, where the reefcam is, is a boat dive. I believe there's a "public" access between a couple of houses a few houses south of the Streetcam, but I'm not sure it's easy to find, and isn't marked in any way. I don't think the local residents are happy when people use it, even though it's "public".

NE, you're a riot. I'll bet you could find a cold brew in the middle of a snow pile in the middle of a blizzard in your neck of the woods (snow?).

Even a moose (well, at least a donkey) can find Jake and Linda's house, NE :):)...Small Wall is just out from their house and I don't think they would mind too much.

The idea is to search for Small Wall before the Amstel...:):) Calm down, have another brewski the night before and start early, you'll find it. :)

Small Wall is a boat dive only and is not accessible from the shore without permission from a local (not too likely), except from one spot North - but I think that would be beyond this forum :). Write if Jake and Linda ain't home.

Good Luck....Smile when you find it!!!

NE....not sure where the entry is that Linda said is near their home...but we asked at Black Durgeon Inn and they let us walk back and use their dock...not sure if this is good for everyone or we hit it on a "good day" there is suppose to be a small walkway though...good luck...been looking for you! Thought we missed you!

Most divers that have tried to dive through at Black Durgeon Inn have been turned away.

The gate entry is just a couple houses south of our house. Head south on the Rotterdam along the water. There is a side street on the left. If you look to the right (towards the ocean) you will see a driveway size gate with a view straight to the sea - too small to be a house lot. The walk down to the sea is steep and there are no stairs.

As I've said on other conversations, that although the beach is public it feels like it is private. Many of the house like ours have pavillions, and there is even one with a shower and their own bar down on the beach level. Some people may feel uneasy crossing that part of the beach.

Found an access to the water.....about a half a mile down the road. Made for one helluva swim, I tell you. Posed in front of the webcams, but it doesn't appear that anyone caught it. Too bad. We'll be on the surface cam later this afternoon. Thanks for all the advice. Saw the entrance that Linda speaks of, but there were a pair of "guard dogs" real nearby, and the whole place said "do not enter or else" to me.. oh well...perhaps we'll go that route next time.
