we are flying Air Jamaica to Curacao then DCA (?) to Bonaire. But what is Divi Divi and are they better?

all I can say is go Divi Divi rather than DCA if you can...Air Jamacia should have direct flight

I dont know how you got that route but I went online to see flight schedule but on saturdays on air jamacia they have a flight that leaves on sat at 730 am in houston and arrives in bonaire at 2:30 with a stop in jamacia. I did some test dates and the airfare was $764.00 round trip.

Try the Delta web site. Some of my clients booked air on Delta (Air Jamaica share code) and paid 100.00 less than on Air Jamaica's site.

The Air Jamaica dosen't fly to Bonaire on Thurs.
But they do fly in to Curacao, and on the way back we plan to spend 2 days in Curacao with no diving.

Divi Divi is a small air service (planes seat 9) that flies between Bonaire & Curacao, for fls 158 round-trip, including both departure taxes. I don't know exactly how many flights they have a day (once they start at 7am, it's pretty much a continuous shuttle back & forth), but do know that their last flight from Curacao is at 5pm (they don't fly after sunset). That flight fills quickly, as they are the first choice for most business people going between the islands. I would never consider DCA if Divi Divi was a choice. Phone from US: 011-599-9-888-1050.

Forgot, fls 158 (138 for flight, +10 +10 for dep. taxes) is US$90. I don't think they take credit cards-be sure to ask if that matters.

Actually, Divi does take credit cards. Delightful little airline. As Ruth says, Divi wins hands down over DCA, at least in my book.

I too much prefer divi divi over DCA. On a recent trip, my American flight was late arriving in CUR and I was sure I would miss the connection with divi divi because of CUR customs, claiming and rechecking baggage, etc. But, to my pleasant surprise, a divi divi agent met me at customs and walked me through the process very quickly. I made the connection without any problem. I have found them to be very efficient, friendly and they adhere to their schedule. The service is also remarkably convenient. I highly reccommend divi over DCA or the ferry.

Hey Lonnie - fully agree - just booked Divi Divi for my family's Curacao trip next month (Kids Sea Camp for the kids). BTW, the Ferry's not running any more - boat got sold...

Hope you're well!

Don't know - drop them a note (e-mail address is probably on their Web site at http://www.baibini.com) and ask. I know that if they are not full, you can drag extra luggage along :-)

Jake, Thanks for all the help. Have booked our reservations on Divi Divi today, I think? When calling I tried to give credit card info, but was told we had reservation and to just trust him. Is everything this easy going in Bonaire?
