I have a question. I saw in the Bonaire reporter where the DCA is doing away with the 55 passenger plane to a littler one. Is that just from Curacao to Bonaire or from the States? Would anyone know? We are coming down in June. Thank you for your help and your time.

That's only between Bonaire and Curacao. The MD-80s or whatever model they are now using is still what flies to/from Miami.

DCA Miami Offices.

Curiosity killed the cat. I bought a RT ticket on DCA Miami-Bonaire-Miami but decided to go to their offices in Miami to see firsthand that they are really up to snuff. This is my 25th trip to Bonaire, almost all of them have been on ALM aka DCA. Recent concerns and issues have been pretty potent, so a trip was worth it for me.

To be sure DCA has real offices and is really trying. Saturday I find out what kind of trying that translates into. Trying as in working hard or trying as in one's patience. I asked about the on-time record and it seemed ok. At least it was usually on the same day. If it flies and is safe, getting to Bonaire is worth the wait.

I will post a follow-up to let you know.

Bud

Keep us posted Bud.
I have tickets in July. For what it's worth, we flew DCA from Mia to Bon last year and were pleased. They were only 20 mins late leaving Mia, departed Bon on time and arrived Mia only 20 mins late. Both late times were blamed on T-storms. I saw the ones on the return flight. I hope they keep it up. The AJ flights are impossible for us to make without an overnighter in Alt or Mia. No way am I making 2 trips to an airport, esp these days.
