We had a bad experience with Air Jamaica last time. Are there any current better options to Bonaire from Nwk NJ? We are planning a March trip.

Anne,
What happened with AJ to you guys? We had a great experience flying with them last June.
The only other option I know from Newark is flying AA to San Juan PR, and changing planes there.

Trying checking out http://www.expedia.com for specific dates.

Here's what I came up with using an April 15th flight date:

All on American Airlines ....

Newark to Boston; Boston to San Juan, and San Juan to Bonaire.

Cost: $824.90

Total miles: 2330 mi (3750 km)
Total flight time: 7hr 1mn (12hr 14mn with connections)

that AA price sounds a little high - i think you should be seeing about $550-$600 for that...call AA directly...might be that travel on thursday is cheaper?

Newark is a bad timing connection on AA for Bonaire. JFK has better flight times, connections and, as I remember my own research, a lower price than yours. Likely LGA is in between.

AJ seems quite variable.

check out flights from EWR to Aruba (AUA)and EWR to CUR... then take the puddle jumpers

Sat to Sat trips to Bonaire are running over $800 during Mar and April...if you can leave during the week, you can save a few bucks (but lose one day of vacation)

Ana

On our last two trips on Air Jamaica we had a great flight down, but coming home because of very long delays, we had to sit in the Jamaica airport till about 11 pm and arrived home at 3 AM.
My husband does not want to do that a third time.

We probably will wind up booking with AJ though. I can not see going through Boston or going out to JFK as an alternative.

Thanks Gregg, I will also check out the inter island connectors.
We can be totally flexible about day of the week to fly so that should help.
