anybody had any problems with baggage out of Aruba to Bonaire ? have the required..carry on can only be 22 lbs for DCA, but 45 for NW/DELTA allowence to Aruba ...but then running into snag with getting stuff like the dive gear to Boniare..hmmmmm..hate to have to pay extra...

Debbie,

I did the Aruba connection in Sept...Avia Air had the 22 kg limit. I gave the counter lady one of Jakes KK's and she did not charge me for the extra baggage weight (dive gear etc)... fair trade

During booking KLM tell them that you want the allowens for diving equipment to carry with you.
Then you receive the permission for another 10 kg. but you have to show your equipment packed in a separate bag.

Ahhhh...great idea..thanks for the tip. I did call DCA today and asked for the second time and they reaffirmed the allowence was the same as NW/ Continental we are coming into Aruba on...I just want to bring a "few" extra things for the length of time there and save a few pennies on foods that are $$ and not available..leaving sunday and soon it will all be "behind" me..look for me on the web cam
