We are planning a trip for the end of February of 2001. From the postings I've read I gather it's feasible to fly from Denver to Miami on United and then catch ALM. Does ALM fly directly to Bonaire or do I have to go to Aruba and then Bonaire? Has anyone tried getting a decent air fare from priceline.com?

From Miami on ALM, you will most likely have to fly to Curacao then to Bonaire.

My husband had to travel Rochester, NY to Orlando, FL with one day's notice, and we got a $200 fare from Priceline vs. $300 from the airlines sites. HOWEVER, you have no choice about which airline, or which time of day you travel, so you might end up getting there so late. I believe they also only do the US, so youcould only get to Miami (at some time!) I'd definitely try them if I didn't need to make a connection somewhere else. I understand that only a few airlines actually work with them (Orlando worked for us because Delta is one of them, and they have a pretty good schedule from Rochester).

I don't know about Denver-Miami, but from Rochester, we can seldom get to a gateway city in time to catch a connection to anywhere in the Caribbean, so an overnight stay in Miami would be necessary, so perhaps Priceline would work for us, as it wouldn't matter what time we arrived, we'd still have to stay overnight.
Have a great trip, Bonaire is worth whatever it takes to get there.
