Regarding Boston's Logan airport, this morning our local paper said an antenna was damaged and a new one was being brought in from Oklahoma. It could take up to seven days to make the repair and get the setup recertified. In the meantime Logan can only handle half of the normal traffic. Some flights are being re-routed to Manchester, NH with bus service being provided to get people to and from Boston. That's about an hour ride if traffic is light. Others are being cancelled outright.

I am watching this closely since my wife and I are scheduled to leave for Bonaire next Saturday. I can envision leaving from Manchester with my car in that parking lot and then coming back to Logan in two weeks - after the antenna is repaired - at 11:00 at night with no bus service available at that late hour to where my car is.
In any case, if you are departing from, arriving at, or connecting through Logan for the next several days, it's probably a good idea to call in advance to make sure your flight is okay.

A guy on Rodale's BBS just said a CNN report says the antenna will be fixed in 3 days. Sure hope they are right. I will be checking often.

Tonight's radio news said the antennae has been repaired, and Logan is getting back to normal.

Bob,

It used be to GWV, but they stopped flying to Bonaire (and Curacao) this past high season, and as far as I know, they are not planning to resume flights. They used to fly January through April.
