In the past, we have taken a large cooler with food (all frozen) such as milk, lunch meat, etc. Can any of you that have recently flown to Bonaire tell me if this is still allowed?

Steve, we were there in June and had no problems. Be sure your lunch meat is in the package that you bought it in.

Uhh, stupid question, why take your own meat and milk? I know they have good stores on Bonaire...

I called AA as we are taking a Turkey with us and wanted to know what was allowed-- They said no problem-- if we wanted to tape the cooler shut we would need to wait until we checked in.

As for the grocery stores on Bonaire-- They are usually very well stocked and fairly priced. We see no need to bring other perishables with us.

honestly, all this increased security really hasn't amounted to much as far as i can tell so far...i wouldn't worry too much about the new stuff...

On the contrary Bob, it has amounted to a lot: it keeps the "terror" alive, which is exactly what your government wants.

Marc,
Kindly keep your stereotypes and prejudices from this board. It's amazing to me how quickly people in Europe forget that but for our "Terror", they'd be under the rule of the Nazis.

Financial products in this country are required to give the following warning, which also applies here:
"Results from the past give no guarantee for the future"
:)

What also applies here is Goodwin's law, so I'll refrain myself from further comments...

As Gertrude Stein said:

"It is the soothing thing about history that it does repeat itself."

Ostrich-like behavior has been seen before as well.

Go pack boxes!!!

Okay, now I'll give in to Goodwin's law
(and a smiley was supposed to be attached to that pack boxes crack :) )
