Was wondering about the 'exit' tax. This is when they charge a departing tourist $10/$20 to leave Bonaire?

What is the charge? Is it different if you are flying directly to the states, or going from Bonaire to Curacua (sp?) and then on to the States.

8 days to go! Then no more snow.

And what about getting the seat assignment on the outbound flight the day before? Read something about this, what is the real scope?

Departure tax depends on final destination.
Curacao Nafl 10 (about US$5.50)
Anywhere else US$20

If you are flying ALM, you can checkin at the airport around 8pm the night before your flight. You get your boarding passes and buy your departure tax ticket from the bank office at the airport. (if the bank is not open you can purchase it the next day) You check in your bags the next day before your flight.
