Does anyone, recent travelers or others, know if both ALM & Air Jamaica are using the MD-80 on their routes to Bonaire/Curacao?

I'm not generally spooked by accidents but three problems in two weeks has me wondering. Thanks for any info...

I'm pretty sure ALM uses the MD-80 back and forth from the states to the islands.

They do use MD-80s but I think there is a difference in the series. I seem to recall the Alaska Air planes had a suffix on their models. As for inter island flights the use dash 8's Air Jamaica has used a few different planes and you may want to check out their web site for sure...

Michael
Air Jamacia definately uses MD83,s .I traveled both to and from Bonaire on one two weeks ago. While this spate of incidents doesn`t make me any too comfortable I don`t think MD 80,s are going to start dropping like flies.I sure hope not. I`m off to Ecuador next week.
Take care Mickey

I might think they are safer to fly because of these accidents. I would think the crews are extra careful being aware of the problems. This is not stopping us from flying on one.
