My Dutch is terrible but a good friend passed along an article today from the Antilliaans Dagblad that says the Amsterdam-Bonaire-Quito-Guyaquil flights will end October 30. All future Bonaire flights to and from Amsterdam will be a part of a flight through Curacao or Aruba I think. Not sure what the routing will be.

More KLM Seats to Caribbean but none direct to Equador

My Dutch is pretty good :-)
Capacity from AMS to the Caribbean will increase.
No stop over in Bonaire on the route to Guayaquil.
However, the story continues on page 2, which is not included.

Kate, make your trip before 30 October ....

There will be after that date no flights to Equador anymore and no triangle flights with St.Maarten. 5 flights a week will be triangle flights with Aruba and 2 flights a week triangle flights with Curacao.
Arke will have from April on 2 weekly flights to Bonaire - Tue + Thu

Kate --- definitley go if you can before the KLM flights end. We did that two years ago and had a marvelous time in Ecuador. We booked everything except the air through EQ Touring in Quito, and they did a wonderful job. The Galapagos cruise was a trip of a lifetime, and doing it from Bonaire rather than the States was a piece of cake!!
