If your planning a trip to Bonaire in Febuary, I was just was notified by Yapta, $671.80 round trip from Chicago Midway,to Bonaire 6:00am- 3:00pm.

From Bonaire to Chicago 3:45pm- 10:19pm.
I had just booked our Febuary trip 2 days ago for quite a bit more. Called Delta and now have credit for our next trip. This is a good flight as there are no lay overs or red eye flights.

Hi,

WOW!~ finally a flight to BON from an airport 10 minutes from my house!

The flights I saw have a brief or very long layover in Atlanta though.

This is our first time to Bonaire, and Friday we booked Delta flight 313 from Chicago/Atlanta to Bonaire for February.(Still can't believe it!) Same great price! We're staying at Den Laman. My husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary. Any suggestions? I Read previous posts suggesting Cappricios (sp?) Will we need advanced reservations? Thanks for the wealth of knowledge Bonaire Talk!

Chris,

What do you mean by "no layovers?"

Your flight will connect in Atlanta, correct?

Check the connection times, it will be tight. We investigated this route for our trip last September, but decided the connection times were too tight.

Remember, a delay out of o'hare in February is not uncommon. That will put a real strain on making the connection in Atlanta. And I doubt Delta will hold the Atlanta plane because of your delay in Chicago....

Just food for thought.

We're booked on Delta in April from Charleston SC to BON with a connection through ATL. Fortunately, there is a comfortable 1:40 min connecting time. This makes for a great flight with early afternoon flight arrival - can make the Cultimara stop after we get there - no sweating out Montego Bay connection. But, the $1800pp fare makes me wince! Well. it only hurts for a little while!

$1800pp must be the First Class fare.
It's a tad much for the wee ppl of the planet...

It's a tad much for anybody! Strangely enough, it is cheaper to fly CHS-ATL-BON than it is to fly ATL-BON. Go figure!

I just checked Delta and the flight is Midway to Atlanta to Bonaire. Whereas Midway does have a better on-time record than O'Hare, during the winter it is always the luck of the draw.

I also noticed that there is a $638.00 flight round trip, but it has two layovers: Midway to Atlanta, Atlanta to JFK (?), JFK to Bon. Ugh!

Tribs,

My bad. I meant to say Midway.....

Regardless, my point was that I believe Chris may have been thinking the flight was non-stop, Chicago to Bonaire.

Any flight out of Chicago with a tight connection during the winter months is a crap shoot.....
