Last year we booked a pretty good package to Bonaire in August for a December trip. I seem to recall at some point there was a comparable package for March.

Our friends booked a great deal again for December so it has me wondering if I should wait a bit for a deal for March.

Is there anyone out there with more experience that can provide some guidance? Thanks in advance.

John, I have been selling the Caribbean since 1987. There are always good deals in the Fall typically. Sometimes air is pretty good in March BUT I saw UNDER 600 for Dec. 20-27 so go figure. With the fuel prices and economy, there are no predictors. If you are locked into specific dates with NO flexibility and it's NOT a holiday, download www.yapta.com and enter your flights and see if they go up and down. You are auto notified. If you have one set of dates during peak season, BUY NOW.

We just booked from Minnesota in March on AA for 719 plus tax which was much better than all the other options at well over $1000. Two years ago we started out in the $800 range with AA and were able to get a nice credit when the same rout dropped to $650 before we left. Not sure it will drop this year or if AA still will give credit if it does but plan to keep an eye on our rout pricing. I tried the yapta notification thing and it did not find this AA flight. The lowest Yapta could find for me was $1500 and up.

Thanks for everyone's input. The $719 Tues to Friday is a winner. Now I need to work out lodging....
