AA schedule changes(the 4th) now have us arriving in SJU at 1035AM and leaving for MIA at 1020AM (DUH !) They never notified us, just happened to check reservation. Any good budget(cheap) hotels around there? We will probably tour the fort that day and maybe hang at the beach as earlier postings suggest. Hopefully the schedules will change again for the better HMMMMM. We would really like to avoid roaches and hoodlums, maybe "cheap: and the others go hand in hand?

call AA and tell them they created an illegal connection and need to rectify it..why do u need to absorb the cost? Their automated system must have a glitch.

ron, if Ann's suggestion doesn't work out, here are a lot of things to do and see. Also, hotels. We usually stay at the Hampton Inn in Isla Verde.

Do I remember an earlier post from you about getting a good day rate at Hampton Inn? We have a 9 hr layover. Any help would be appreciated.

Ginny, Try Embassy Suites. Great place, 5 minutes away, lots of places to eat close by and it has a restaurant, small casino, pool, massage place ect.

AA has several MIA flights after noon time. Maybe you get on one of them.

Ginny, yes, the Hampton Inn. They have the cool poolbar bbq, great burgers. If they have availability you can get the day rate. They have recentely renovated the rooms, so it's really nice.

I've been to the Embassy Suites, it's nice as well. You can't go wrong with either of them I think, although I am partial to the Hampton Inn, and Guacamayo's pool bar and restaurant

ah well, I have checked every option and finally have gotten routes shifted so we stay overnite in MIA...leave SJU and land in MIA at approx 5PM, the out is that by Feb the schedules will probably change again several times(hope not for the worse)This was our 4th change since getting tickets in May. WHEW !
