Finally on Bonaire after a AA nightmare. Our plan was to take the AA 10.15flight Mia to Cur then Divi Divi 15:30 to Bon. The AA plane started and the doors were about to close when the captain said there was a tec. problem with a seat. After ~45min that was fixed. No problem, we would still be early for our Divi flight but just before take off the captain told us that the toilets would not work and again the maintenance crew was called back. After perhaps an hour that problem was fixed and we took off. After 1 hours flying the captain again informed us we had a problem and he was forced to return to Mia. After landing and having everyone leave the plane they fixed the problem and again we took off only to arrive on Bon just before 17:00: not only to late for our 15:30 flight but also to late for the last Divi flight at 17:00. I ran to the Divi counter while my wife and son collected our baggage. The desk person informed us the plane was getting ready to take off and we were too late; the gate was closed. After a little begging he went into the back and told us they would stop the plane's take off and help us. Another of their personal took our passports and papers and we ran with him from one control to the other all the way to the plane. Divi Divi is fantastic! Thank you Divi Divi!

Kudos to AA for their "never say die attitude" for your flight Carter. Actually pretty amazing.
Now, please, go get in the water!

Another great Divi Divi story. I have never had the fortune to fly Divi Divi but would in a heartbeat.

Seb...lol:-) At least you got there, and on time no less!

Life is too short to focus on the things that are transient in nature.

I agree with Seb, now go get in the water!

I hate it when planes do that! Makes for a long work day. I'll bet it had planned a hot date with a cute little Cessna 172. :-)

It's too late, Mara. I've talked long and dirty AT them for way too long to know better. Sometimes they act like a puppy and sometimes they act like a pitbull. :-)

In the water and not looking into the sky.. at least not for 14 days. Just came back from Oil
slick and as usual great diving but there must have been 15 trucks at the site...traffic jam! Drove back to Dons to find a young teenager sitting in the rinse tanks!Parents thought she was funny!
I won't be rinsing my reg in that tank!

Cheez Whiz, Carter, see something, SAY SOMETHING. Bad parents need direction too. No, I do not want your child's butt jam in my mouth. Thank You for your consideration and co operation.

My first BC, used and bought off a DM at Sunset House, came with a can of Cheez Whiz. Fish LOVED that BC.
We also loved taking Divi Divi from CUR to BON.

Hi again friends, yes I am having fun! Had a great night dive by Dons and saw a lobster..yum,yum.. heck, I let him (or her) live. It's not often you see lobsters here, wonder why? Helped the tarpon find some food, and saw some florescence type things. Really cool!
Regarding the "bathing young one" I said to the mother "is she yours" and that's when she laughed. I also used my nastiest looks!
I also had a computer incident today. Perhaps someone has an idea of what could have happened. My Cobra reset itself after a dive. I was diving nitrox and know positively that it worked just fine under water but when I checked the dive history tonight it stated "air" and the date went to 000101. If Suunto had microsoft software and I'd say I got a blue screen!

Sounds like the power was interupted, maybe a weak battery?

Sounds like it could be the battery. How old is it? I used my new Cobra 2 last week in the Florida Keys for the first time. I made the mistake of having it set on "gauge" instead of air, and once you make a dive in gauge mode....you're stuck using that setting for at least 48 hours. Not really a problem since my daughter and I were only making a couple of dives in a couple of days. I've really got to learn how to use this computer to it's full potential, before we get to Bonaire in October.

Uuugggghhhhh....gag reflex just recovering-you all are on your own with the butt jam issue. Oops, there goes gag reflex again. Anyone else thinking of Caddy Shack?

UPDATE
After coming home from our travels I found a letter from AA in our mailbox. Please note that I had not complained to AA regarding the above incident. In spit of me not complaining they sent a letter of apology, including 3000 Bonus Miles. I thought the letter was well written and deserved to be mentioned.
