I know this has probably been talked about before but, with my early searches of the board, I couldn't find specifically what I was looking for. We are flying on the redeye Continental from Newark Saturday night arriving very early Sunday morning. How does Buddy Dive handle early arrivals on this flight?

thanks in advance!

Renea, I would go right to the source and ask them. I know several properties charge and extra fee for early check-ins. Drop them and email.

Renea,
We did the red eye flight last July and a rep from Buddy's was at the airport waiting for us. Truck was ready and room was ready. Pillow was also waiting for my head in building one!

Have a great time.......

Renea, I agree with Jan, ask them directly. What happened for one person does not always mean it will also be true for you.

Kobi, no offense to your reply. I am just thinking what would happen if the specific unit Renea was renting had back to back guests, they may not be able to get in right away as to have the cleaning staff come in and spruce it up. :-)

If it is available, they will let you have it. Ours was not available until later, but they kept our luggage for us. We packed our dive gear where we could get to it easily, and went diving rather than sit around and wait. I know it would be better to have a room, but once we got in the water, I don't think we thought about it a lot!

I think the regular check in time is sometime in the afternoon.

in January, our group took the Continental redeye and got to Buddy's early on a Saturday morning. Buddy's truck was there to take us and our luggage to the resort, and we got checked in (there was a large group of us, so the check-in process was a little chaotic). Most rooms and trucks weren't available yet, so we didn't have much choice but to leave piles of luggage at the front desk area. But the breakfast buffet was open, so we ate and regrouped at 9am for the dive orientation and to get our marine park tags. Seems like we were in our room by 11 or so - not sure about the others. Some eager people went ahead and got geared up and did their orientation dives before they even got in their rooms.

Thanks everybody for all the advice. We actually decided to take the advice and contact Buddy's directly. The ONLY way they could guarantee early checkin is if we paid for an extra night....Saturday night even though we won't arrive till early Sunday morning. It makes sense to me because if someone was in the room checking out on Sunday, well, we couldn't get in it until after they were gone. So, after we talked about it, it wasn't going to be that much per person so, we decided to go ahead and pay for the extra night....so, it will work out that we will be guaranteed early checkin upon arrival!
