Text had to be removed as it was promoting a business which author has an interest in.

My hands were tied by this board's policy when I edited the message above. However, as I know that there are many members of Bonaire Talk that benefit from the services provided by Divi-Divi to fly to and from Bonaire I feel compelled to say that Divi-Divi's website is again complete and operating. See: www.flydivi.com

For what it is worth, I receive no compensation from Divi-Divi nor any business on Bonaire.

I just checked their new website. There is a limit of 1 checked bag ,44 pounds per person. Extra weight is charged @ $1.25/kilo and shipped as freight-maybe later flight. This could be a real problem. we have flown with them several times before and had multiple bags over 44 pounds. I emailed them to find out if this is a new requirement or an existing requirement that was not enforced. Will post the answer later.

They did not whack us any extra for six bags two weeks ago.

On the way to Bonaire on 22 dec, we did not have a problem with the extra bags. All four were close to 50 lbs each and they all made the flight.

For the return to CUR on 5 jan, we took two bags to the airport early to make sure they made it to CUR. The bags were considerably lighter than two weeks before. Upon checkin for our flight, however, the guys at the counter insisted that we pay extra ... at first they said something in NAF -- between 50 and 70 I think, although I cannot recall ... then my friend handed them $20 ... which I am sure promptly ended up in his pocket. No more questions.

We've never been asked to pay for extra bags on Divi ... sometimes the bags just make it on a different flight ...
