I am trying to visit both places (Roatan and Bonaire) from San Francisco in March, but it is impossible to find a flight between Roatan and Curacao (where I can catch DAE to Bonaire if I'm lucky). Has anyone done this? It seems cheaper to fly back home in between, but that sounds crazy. Any advice?

Thanks a lot. I figured it would be an ordeal. Just over two months ago, I found it much easier to fly from Bonaire to San Francisco than from Bonaire to Curacao! DAE was a nightmare and I guess I can't expect much different from Divi Divi and the other Caribbean carriers. Too bad -- so much for hitting both islands on one trip. Bonaire it is.

Matt - I think you can actually expect MUCH better from Divi Divi. As I understand it, and have read on numerous posts here they are AMAZING!!!! Susan though probably has the best suggestion of the Bonaire to Houston direct and then Houston to Roatan direct. In theory that makes it a one stop flight...of course that could be a 7 day layover ;-)

there is not a flight from any of the ABC islands to Roatan. You have to fly to San Juan, Houston, or Miami and then to Roatan. Or the reverse if you are in Roatan trying to get to Bonaire. Continental does fly non-stop from Houston to Bonaire and non-stop from Houston to Roatan. Have gone Roatan and Bonaire via Continental over the last few years.

Divi Divi is great! We used them and we were treated like kings. AA paid foe this flight from CUR to BON after they messed up our flights in MIA
