We've been using DAE frequently for the last few years with no problem (last trip, 6/2007). But it sounds like they had real problems a few months ago. Do they have their act together again, or should we switch to DIVI for CUR-BON? (We'll be coming down again in a few month and need to make reservations.)

We were in the ABCs in October and DAE were in a real mess. I would go with Divi.

We used Divi for the past 2 trips. They are very accommodating and very nice. I booked a very tight connection on the way down earlier this year and our flight from Newark to Curacao was running late. They walked us through security and right onto the plane. (It didn't hurt that we were 4 of the 8 passengers).

Divi Divi tends to be the more reliable carrier. On the other hand, they fly fewer, day-time only flights with smaller planes allowing less cargo.

If you are arriving in the daytime and are able to book with Divi Air, that would be my first choice. They are reliable, helpful, and usually on time. My experiance with DAE is not the same. But when you arrive in the evening in Curacao, they are the only game left.

We've had good luck with both. Divi flies more often but only has 9 seats. But if more than 9 show up or they need more room for bags, they seem to just run a second plane. DAE has 50 passenger planes so flies less often. But bigger baggage doors was the only way our dog could make it back and forth and they did a great job keeping him cool, last to load etc.
