We are finishing our packing and looked at the American website. It states that you can not take any insecticides or spray cans. Has anyone had trouble with checking these items?

We took them in March with no problems.

they wouldn't let me take my aerosol bug spray back from bonaire (which i've never actually used)...said i could not have it even in checked baggage because the can says it is flammable...

so in general, anything that says flammable on the can or container might be confiscated...

Cultimara, other grocery stores, and the drug store on Kaya Grandi have lots of choices of bug repellent, including OFF, Skintastic, etc. Might be a bit more expensive than US, but better than a hassle.
