I hope someone can help me with this. I want to fly from Bonaire to Aruba on a Sunday (actually August 3, 2008). It would seem that an airline called "Dutch Antilles" provides this service but no matter what info I enter onto the sight it comes back "no flights available" I also tried other days and dates...Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob Cowan

Bob

Try Tiara-air http://www.tiara-air.com/ or mail DAEs call centre reservations@flydae.com or call: +599 717 0808

Bob welcome to BT. I believe the dates you are asking for are to far in the future. Most airlines only book 9 months out.

Thanks I thought the time element might also have been the problem. you guys do seem to be of the opinion that I will be able to go from Bonaire to Aruba one way?

Thanks
Bob

Certainly one-way flights are available. People do emigrate.

BTW - I tried to email Tiara twice last week and never got an answer. But when I called their 800#, an agent picked up and took care of my reservations immediately.

I don't know what their deal is with email, but seems to me the phone works a lot better with them. (Divi has always emailed me back promptly, however.

Robert,
We booked a similar flight with DAE about three months ago for a one-way trip from Bonaire to Aruba on Sunday morning Oct 14th 2007. And did it all by email with no hitch. Be advised however that DAE does NOT offer a direct flight from Bon to AUA. all such flights are routed through Curacao. Regardless it is still a short puddle jump.
Also for something so far out keep in touch with this BB periodically as financial woes and name changes are not unheard off. When we last made such a trip in April of 2005 DAE was known as Bonaire Express. But there is definitely a bonafide need for such travel and some group always manages to step forward to offer the service. Good Luck

Also BTW - the Tiara flight is direct from Aruba to Bonaire and does not stop in Curacao. If I remember correctly, it also costs less than the DAE flight.

Ooops - I missed that website for Tiara on the earlier post. I thought that maybe Tiara was an employee of DAE. Didn't know there was a second airline in operation. I'll check them out when we are there in one week from TODAY - Huraah!
