We wanted to spend 10-11 days on Bonaire in December, and were impressed with the economy of taking Continental from Newark (EWR)to Aruba (AUA), which is daily service, and returning on the Continental nonstop on the following Sunday. The airfare was substantially lower than the EWR-BON nonstop, and was just about an even deal when you factor in the cost of two tickets AUA-BON on DAE (one-way). Since the EWR_AUA service is daily, there is less chance for a missed week of fun if there is an unanticipated cflight cancellation.
This also allows those of us who would like 10-11 days in the island, but not 2 weeks, another alternative.
Think about it!!
We will be returning for our 6th time and staying at Sorobon from Dec 12-23rd, and can't wait!
