Going from MSP to SJU (NW) to BON (AA).

Question: should I be booking now? Or waiting for better fares later?

We are currently on our way to BON this weekend. We use www.caradonna.com for all our Bonaire travel. We are planning to be back on the island in spring of '08 and again the first of August '08. The minute my feet hit the ground back in Virginia I will be calling Caradonna to book both trips; they recommend approx. 10 months prior to start booking air. Shop airfare now and see who has the best deal or hook up with good travel agent and let their fingers do the walking for ya!

Good luck with whatever you do....

Kobi

I already have my Feb/March trip booked for a while. I watch the airfares a lot and know what prices are really good and what is the normal "lowest" price they offer that time of year and when I see it, I book it. I do my own airfare. :-) We watch the dates we want to go and return and the return flight was almost full already when I booked. So, I would suggest a travel agent at this point for those dates.

JFK to BON on AA is $150.00 round trip cheaper for February now than it was last year in September. So I bought! Peter

Philip, unless you are using AA Frequent Flyer miles, may I suggest you try Continental.com as well. If you check the +/- 3days you might find some good airfare, I just did thanks to a fellow BT'er.

Good advice Tom! It does make a big difference with dates put in and switched around, forgot about that one.... we had to play around with dates till the price got right. The savings is certainly worth the time and effort to get a good price.

I have March tickets on AA booked a few weeks ago. At that time the Boston to San Juan was almost booked up for Feb. 23.

Thanks to all. Continental does have a better fare but red-eyes are a bit tough on us.

Book AA and if price goes down , call and they will give you a voucher good for 1 year for the difference. Then use it for the next year !
