The lady on the phone tells me that the company is getting their second aircraft which is in the USA for inspection and they are looking at a start up date of some where in august it seems that they have quite some experience in the aviation world and will fly 4 flights a day in and out of Bonaire with conex to and from Curacao with American and AJ there E-mail flyezair@gmail.com and web www.fly-ezair.com

It sounds great but I have serious doubts if "it will get off the ground" with the hoops startup airlines have to go through.

Well michael I understand that this Airline has all ready been certified by the Civil aviation authortathy in Bonaire since March which the lady told me was quite a process and they do have a Airplane all ready in Curacao but at this moment operate this on ad-hoc basis until their second aircraft arrives .

I am still a skeptic..if the do not have every tiny t crossed and i dotted, they government will find a way to protect DAE. I hope they do make it. Competition breeds excellence...by the way, Bonaire has no aviation authority that certifies aircraft unless it is something new. Everything comes from big brother in Curacao.

understood , DAE I will never fly again they are worse than ALM/DCA only thing is you don't hear about their delays and Cancelations they have shafted the Bonaire people and are know trying to make their life out of Curacao.

Hi
I have posted negatively about Air Jamaica in the past and wound up booking on them for Oct. I just could not get past a $200 difference compared to American (when I booked). I think most would agree that government supported airlines stink. AJ is not great but the succession of ALM, Bonaire Excel, DAE, whatever is just too much for me to handle. Here's hoping We'll be there on Sept. 30 :-)
Mick

Good luck, Mickey! May no hurricanes cross your path during your travel. I'll be on island in November and wishing myself the same thing, but flying on Continental this time.

We just flew in and out the last two weeks, with AA to and from Curacao and then Divi Divi. DD was GREAT! they made sure everything got there and back and treated us real well. I'd vote for Divi Divi every time!
