Anyone know which is the cheapest fare from Boston or NY to Bonaire non-stop?

Also, is there a travel agency on Bonaire or at the airport to alter tickets if need be?

KJ, If you want to fly non-stop from the northeast, Continental out of Newark is your only choice. Try looking at their website and see the pricing as it varies day to day, so no set price I can say. Their website is easy to navigate.

Annie Phelan here on BT is great with arranging packages for Bonaire. Give her a try too if you would like a personal touch with your arrangements. She lives on Bonaire. Here is her contact info:

The fares can change daily but you will not find a non stop from Boston to Bonaire. Currently you can fly Continental thru Newark or American through San Juan. I also have flown from Boston to Curacao via Miami and then taken DiviDivi. When booking for this summer we found cheaper Continental fares out of Manchester, NH and Portland, ME than Boston. Both were through Newark.

Hi KJ,

Thanks Debbie. I fly to and from BOS to BON a lot. I have tried AA via MIA and CUR. It did not work for me as I travel from Cape Cod so cannot make the early flight. There is a long layover in CUR (8:30 PM- 11:30 PM). Also another 100.00 USD pp for the inter island flight. Also you cannot make the flight in the early AM anymore from CUR to MIA as it leaves at 7:30 AM and no airline can get you to CUR at 5:30 AM now.

I have not done the CO flight from Newark as the last flight from BOS is at 5:30 PM so a 5+ hour layover. I have clients who have done the Houston flight from BOS and it was a 14 hour day. Door to door from Cape Cod to my house in BON USED to be 10 hours on Air Jamaica. Now it is 14 on AA thanks to their year long crummy schedule BUT I have a blast in San Juan. Have dined in numerous places, have seen Old San Juan a few times, had a spa treatment at Intercontinental (Overpriced and not worth it), hung at Waterclub (great views and funky place), had Cuban food at Metropole, worked at El San Juan.....For me, AA via SJU is the best bet. I see in the winter there is a new flight from SJU to Boston at 10:30 AM so I am VERY happy.

KJ just to throw in my $.02. Our preferred route right now from Boston is to catch the early flight to Miami then the daily flight to Curacao both on AA, then catch a Divi Divi flight to Bonaire. You leave early but get to Bonaire late afternoon which avoids long layovers in San Juan or Aruba (the other possible route).

On the other routes they either are very limited in scope (ie. the direct flight from Newark is once per week, same for AJ), have long layovers or get in to late and kills your first day.

There is no real easy way. Compare this to going to Barbados on Wednesday, direct flight from Boston and we'll be there late morning.
