I have finally made my reservations, first time to Bonaire...and staying at Deep Blue View in Sept for my honeymoon!! Super happy!! I have made my flight plans from Charlotte, NC...to Aruba. What now?? I have read about Divi Divi...and kinda confused about this step. Do I need reservations, or just plan on making things happen when I get to Aruba. Any help would be great!!

Oh my gosh, I just broke into a sweat..NO NO..you need your air reservation on DAE so email NOW. If you come to BON during a holiday you may NOT get air. Email reservations@flydae.com or call 011-599-717-0707. If your flight from CTL is late and you miss your DAE flight you are on stand by and if the flights are full, it can take hours or even DAYS to get to BON. I am merely telling you what I have had happen many times to clients.

Insel Air (http://www.fly-inselair.com/schedule.htm) also serves both Bonaire and Aruba, and Divi Divi was trying to get a permit for Aruba, but I don't know if they ever got it. Everybody takes you through Curacao.

If you aren't bringing a ton of dive gear, then I would avoid DAE. If you are, they are your only choice. Remember, all you need to dive here is a mask, BC, fins, and regulator. Leave your weight-integrated thingies, wetsuits, hoods, and other space-consuming stuff at home and you will easily fit into Insel Air or Divi Divi.
