Just had to post. We were supposed to be in Bonaire by 8:30 last night. Due to the fog in the mid-Atlantic, we are now in San Juan and can't get out till 6:30pm. We have lost a whole day in Bonaire, AND our luggage.

Bob, actually with the long layover weather delays usually are ok..the extreme fog Deborah encountered is rare really. Oh, and AA flies daily soon so no worries in that arena. Deborah, call AA at 800-543-0460 and MAKE SURE you are on the SJU BON flight confirmed. Also make sure you have boarding passes all the way. If the flight is booked already and then the weather delays try to get seats, well that is indeed where they may be a problem.

So, there is fog in the Caribbean? I'm trying to understand this. The AE flights only fly around the Caribbean, so their plane is grounded somewhere in the carib due to fog?

cynde, maybe what she meant was that she was delayed somewhere else by fog and got to san juan too late to make a connection. that's my guess, but what do i know???? we've been delayed a few times but never more than 24 hours.

Carole...Whenever we have the "El Nino" phenomena out in the Pacific, we generally have mild winters here in the Northeast. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this winter. Notwithstanding this however, I did get my snowblower up & working last week!

Tribsy, I did CUR MIA BOS last year when Air Jamaica cancelled their flight. It was ok except nightime MIA often has thunderboomers certain times in the year so delays are expected. I am taking the 8 AM out of CUR so will be in BOS by 3...gotta take the 6 AM DAE to CUR. yikes..
