Continental landed at 7:50 AM AST. Not sure why or from where but it's on the tarmac as I type. Odd??

Ann,

Appreciate the frequent updates from "the Airport Observation Deck". Seems you spend a lot of time reporting from there. Is this where your "office" is located when you aren't windsurfing or checking out (and reporting on) the restaurants? Regardless, please keep it up. Helps hold PBD at bay until the next trip.

Thanks.

My office / residence is meters from the airport runway. I do believe my house is closest to the start of the runway.....haaa

SUPER - even after one week I was "almost" used to it. It was a quick wake up and then right back to sleep.

Hey Ann,

I really like your flight information- keep it up!!!
I bet you´re watching the runway closely tomorrow- say 'hi' to Beatrix:-) Maybe you can give us an update tomorrow at what time Beatrix arrived and in what type of a plane (military or the white md) she came in.- would really appreciate it. I have to wait six more weeks until KLM is going to wake me up every night.

The plane is a Sunquest Skyservice .... no idea what that is
The Queen's plane arrived on time, made a little fly over the runway and turned over Kralendijk to finally land

Oh Gosh, Brigitte is right..it's the charter from Canada..not sure why it's here but GOSH wouldn't it be great if it came on a regular basis? Wow...I saw the Queen's entourage pass Kaya Korona at 11:25 AM AST but could not see her..then saw her plane on the tarmac. Ha..it resembles the Sunquest plane..interesting eh?? Maybe it's being used to charter for the press?? Dunno...Town is abuzz with orange balloons and people dressed in orange..too bad it's not a good color for me..LOL..

Ann, I don't think the Queen travels with that much entourage and press that she needs a charter plane ... that's not the way it is done in Europe..
I checked the web site, Sunquest flies to Curacao in the winter season

The Gulfstream jet is the queens luggage plane for her and staff. I met the pilot and crew (americans) who are staying at Sand Dollar...The plane was leased from a US company...

To make it clear ... we are talking 2 - 3 - different planes here .. the Sunquest was an Airbus , the Gulfstreem Michael talks about is much much smaller and the Queen herself came in an other small one, I guess another Gulfstreem .. but to me these planes look all very similair, I only can distinct sizes
