Hi Anne,
Don't know about yesterday, but today the American Eagle left at 720 AM, only to turn around and return to Bonaire with a mechanical problem. They flew another plane from Puerto Rico. I think they left about 2PM or so, at least I think they have left. Too late for our son and daughter to get to their Miami connection.
That's what we know.

There was an announcement before we caught the Continental flight that they had a flat tire.
That was around 7am.

You can't get the service these days :-) 7 hours to change a flat tyre!

It was more than a flat...they did a 180 half an hour into the flight...

The plane from yesterday morning was still on the tarmac when Linda and I got in from San Juan last night - kind of odd to see two AE flights on the ground on Bonaire at the same time...

Ann, a 180 is an about face. Half the degrees of a complete circle...360.

I was on the AA on Saturday. They had two flats overnight. They flew a mechanic and two tires from Port of Spain. We got out about 1:00pm and got to Dallas at 9:30 pm instead of 2:30 pm. It made a long day, but AA did a pretty good job of rebooking flights and even got all the luggage retagged before we left Bonaire. They did not do a 180 on our flight, maybe on the charter bringing the tires and mechanic.
