We connect through San Juan to Bonaire on American Eagle Executive. The last 3 years, our luggage didn't arrive until the next evening in Bonaire. Each year we talked to the person in Bonaire at the American Eagle Desk and we were told this is normal. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If we get enough people together, maybe we can change this. They wouldn't even give us a tooth brush and acted very rude!

I don't know how normal it is for it to happen to you 3 years in a row. To me that sounds like really bad luck. I have not had mine show up the next day yet. Thankfully my luggage, and my Buddy's luggage, have always been there when we got through customs.

We had experienced delayed luggage 1x on AA ( have flown on AA 4x's). It took 3 days to finally get it. Our plane was full, and there most likely was a weight issue. I know that there were at least a dozen or so other passengers who had the same problem. Once they fall behind it is tuff to catch up especially during peak times. With the luggage weight limits being lowered, this might help.

Terry, where are you flying from? 6 flights from LAX, never a problem (yet anyway, knock on wood). They do have weight issues and on most of the flights I've taken to Bonaire, and other Caribbean islands out of San Juan they have to juggle luggage in the over head bins, and our luggage was late (arrived on a later flight a few hours later) to Tortola a little over a year ago. So it is an issue.

I now fly AE about 6 times a year. Since 2001, it has happened once for me. I have always had boarding passes and have gotten on every flight. Fingers crossed.
