I have seen flights for $425 to $480 from most of the east. Columbus, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Newark on AA to BON in the beginning of Nov. (3 to 13) and Dec. (3 to 13). I wish my wife and I could go, but we have what will be a 1 year old at that time. And my wife doesn't think it is feasible.

Welcome Matt. I say this with a high amount of respect for young parents but is there anyway to leave the little one at home. The grandparents would love some time with the little tyke. It would really add to the vacation if you did not have to worry about the child. Then you can dive till your prunney.

Bob...it is the season. We kept moving dates and finally got RT under $1000.00 per person, but only barely under. We are flying 12/26.

We took Grandma with us to baby sit while we were under water. When she was little we would leave her with Grandma at home, but as she got older, they had a great time on the island while we were under water. Now she is old enough to dive with us. We'll be there Dec.27-Jan 6. Our tickets from the west coast are embarrassingly expensive, but we didn't have much choice. The price was going up on the few seats available every day. Last year for a July trip we paid $850, this year it is up to $1200. It would have been much less if we didn't travel over the holidays, but I teach so I don't have much choice.

There is a thread under Local Items (http://www.oldbonairetalk.com/newsgroup/messages/36/272175.html?1153655962) that discusses day care on Bonaire, including the positive experience of the person who originally posted the question.

OMG, you're staying for 2 and 1/2 months. How fantastic is that! I thought I was lucky going for two weeks. Maybe some day. We arrive on the red eye Feb 10-24 from Detroit. Our fares were $738 each on Continental
