Sorry if this has been discussed ad nauseum before (I did a search, honest... I just didn't find anything)

I got the ok at work today to book my vacation (YAY!!!!!!) and am looking at getting to Bon through Curacao. The flight I'm hoping to book arrives in Cur at 2pm. Is 90 minutes enough to connect with Divi Divi? Same question on the return flight.

Becky, I did that route last week. I arrived in Curacao at 2pm on AA and was on the 3:30 Divi flight to Bonaire with no trouble. There was a woman however who almost did not make the flight because of a hold up in Customs and Immigration since AA had run out of forms and she had to then get the form there and fill it out. There were three planes arriving in Curacao at the same time so it was pretty busy. But, having said all that it is do-able and very pleasant and easy. On the return trip I had a longer layover in Curacao as I booked on the 11:45 out of Bonaire. I did this because it takes much longer to check in at American on the way home. Perhaps someone who has done the 90 minute connection in that direction will chime in.

in Feb we took the 1:30 DiviDivi from BON to CUR. Arrived 2pm. We just picked luggage up from tarmac as they took it out of the plane. Immigration was easy - lines were at AA to check luggage and then at Security checkpoint (longest one).

While not ticketed, we could have easily made the Continental 3:30 flight. (We were on AA 4pm flight).

The biggest confusion was where we needed to go from where the Divi plane "dropped" up off.

Thanks so much for your input. I was wondering about the whole clearing customs thing, but you answered that. I just get a little nervous going to "new" airports.

the airports are small and easy to get thru customs..I think 90 minutes will work for you if all the rest is on schedule, that is always the freak...have fun

I did the same route last month, had plenty of time in each direction. Have a good trip!

Thanks for the added info, I was hoping 90 min would be ok, I hate the thought of spending 3 hours in a small airport with nothing to do. Tickets are booked! I can't wait to go back.
