Does anyone have information regarding flights from Aruba to Bonaire? Any airline been found to be reliable? I know that is a tall order for such a short flight! thanks, Michaela

The only way right now is DAE (Dutch Antilles Express, www.flydae.com). They are reliable, but tough to get hold of and tough to book.

I have actually found DAE to be fairly responsive to both e-mails (reservations@flydae.com) and faxes ([599] 717-0880), the latter being when I faxed them credit card authorization for my reservations. Alternative is also calling at ([599] 717-0808). If calling from the States, don't forget to use 011 before the phone number, as "599" is the country code, not an area code.

Currently, I believe DAE has flights that depart Aruba (AUA) at noon and 7:00 PM and another about 9 or 10 PM. Return flights depart Bonaire at about 7 AM, and 10 AM. All flights take 90 minutes, including an intermediate stop in Curacao.

I found the following website that gives information of DAE's schedule:

http://www.bonaireairlines.com/uk/bonairexpress-uk.html

As previously noted, flights stop in Curacao on their way to Bonaire. Postings have indicated that it gets hot on the plane (you're not allowed to de-plane) so dress coolly and bring water. Based on an e-mail I got from DAE this morning round-trips between Aruba and Bonaire are $203, $134 from Curacao.

DAE has answered my e-mails quite promptly but I haven't tried to book with them yet so I don't know how that might go.
