I just checked their web-site and flts from EWR (New Jersey) to Bonaire are $516 including all taxes. Sounds like a deal to me. I've been trying to check out airports closest to Detroit to bet air fare under $650 for next January or February. No luck yet but I'll keep checking.

Usually airlines will only let you book flights 300 days in advance, or somewhere close to that. Thus, if you planning for next Feb. you may have to wait a bit.

Just remember if you take AJ to arrive 3 hours early(as they recommend) as it will take you that long to get through the lines. Leaving from Bonaire they hand inspect all of the luggage that is checked. And many of the carry on bags as well.
Also a warning not to try and bring back any shells, coral, etc. as it is all protected and will be confiscated.
Another weird thing is that you must pay your tax to leave at a window that is not marked for taxes but is something totally different (I can not remember what) so if you get up to the AJ window and have not paid the tax they will send you back to that window.

the window has been moved to a kiosk right next to the check in...easy to find...best bet is to stop in a few days earlier and pay it put the ticket in your passport and you are ready to go
