I've seen the Curacao Airport hotel run by Howard Johnson mentioned as a maybe not great but cheaper alternative but can only find the Howard Johnson Plaza 10 miles away. Does anyone have a website or have any other recommendations for a cheaper place to stay in understandably last minute high season (march 6th)? Thank you.

I have heard the HJ in Otrabanda is really pretty good. My friend stayed at the airport hotel and hated it. I usually stay at Floris Suites or Kura Hulanda but get a nice travel agent rate so know most cannot splurge for a quick pit stop.

I believe the hotel they call Airport hotel is the holland hotel just up the hill to the left. Not sure i would stay there. I have stayed at the howard johnson in otrabano, it's ok cost about $113 a night. I just booked with --- wire on line and got $88 at the hilton for march 9-11
