Last year AA caused us to arrive in Bonaire three days late. Luggage went to France for a week.
In departing, plane had a oil problem, the censer light was blown out. AA had no parts in stock, so we spent the day at the airport. When we did depart for Miami, they diverted us to SJ. Again my bags went to France? No flights to Boston until two days from then, Full flights.
Three days to go and I am feeling just a tad edgy.
Does anyone have an idea as to the cost of being put into a induced coma until I set foot on Bonaire?

Think positive thoughts all the way ...... repeat after me ... "this will not happen to me .... twice!"
Good luck!!
Cheryl

Martin awesome picture on your profile! Jerry start drinking a few rum and cokes won't be too expensive and get you in the right mood. Remember travel sucks...it has something to do with an industry that looses Billions of dollars a year. Keep on smiling or swimming.
Can't wait for your trip report. Will say a prayer for you and your vacation to be peaceful.

Jerry,

If you end up in San Juan again take time to get a massage at the airport. It helps pass the time while AA says nothing is wrong even though the flight was supposed to leave an hour earlier.
Hope your flight goes well. If your luggage ends up in Europe email us and we will hop over and pick it up and personally get it to you we come to the Island in two weeks.

Did I understand the routing on your bags for the last trip. They went to France TWICE??

What are the chances my bags make it? Nada!
Arv Aruba at 2:00PM
Here is another change, Depart for Bon at 6:30.

How's that for a long day?
I went to Bora-Bora in less time.

I am just curious as to why you made a stop in Aruba, we have used AA for several years and have always went directly from SJ to Bonaire.

Jerry- I've yet to post my trip report as I've just returned from Bonaire and had to return straight to work. Talk about PBD!! I'm hoping to send along my great luck via my computer waves. I was so worked up about my AA to AE connection in San Juan and yet were lucky enough to have the smoothest trip ever!!! No delays (even had time to grab a quick bite to eat in San Juan), no lost luggage, dining seaside by 9:30 at Lions Den on the night of our arrival. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! I'm not very lucky usually, but two trips for me has been great! I know it is a kick butt long day of travel! I hope you have as good a time as we did, which is to say it was fabulous and can't wait to return again. Have a safe and wonderful vacation on my favorite island paradise!!!
Kristin

Two years ago I did the Bos-SJ-Bon.
Lost bags, never was found.
Spent day at airport, then over night in SJ. Flight was to depart at 7:00AM. We took off at 8:00PM. No crew!
Took flight to NJ, long layover, then on to Boston.
Two days late, short one bag.
Never again!

Thanks you all for the good words.
This is my 30th something trip to Bonaire, it has become a pain in the a,,. Why?
Ever see a plane land empty? Not in years!
Supper low fairs? No!
Something is up here, I just don't know what.
Like I said above, I went to Bora-Bora with ease.

When we got our res back in Aug most flights were booked for Bonaire. What's up with that? I had to use FF miles to upgrade to 1st class in order to get the flights we needed. And we had to make stops in SJ-Aruba-and Cur.

Just thinking of the chance of a missed connection makes my left eye twitch.
Next step is hearing voices, "AA is the devil"!
