It's been awhile since there's been any discussion about the American flights in and out of Bonaire. The last I heard they don't have daily flights in and out of Bonaire from San Juan. Can anyone tell me what is the current schedule?

Bonaire residents can no longer obtain AA information. AA has closed its ticket office on Bonaire. They no longer answer their number on Curacao, so that office might have closed as well. When they lost my suitcase last month, I discovered it is not even possible for me to telephone AA in the US because the voice mail system cuts off calls from Bonaire before a person picks up. People who live here must phone a friend in the US who will in turn call AA in the US for us.
Therefore, the quickest way for you to get an answer is to phone AA yourself and ask about the schedule. I believe the frequency of flights will increase in March, but could you please post the change when you find out.
Thanks!

Diane, I just booked my next trip, arriving on the Saturday night flight, and leaving on the Sunday morning flight. Originally, I was leaving on Wednesday morning, but extended my days to Sunday. So, that's 3 days for ya!

We are booked AA Flt 5054 from San Juan into Bonaire (L 6:30, A 8:41 pm ) on Wed Jan 25. Return Wed Feb 8th AA Flt 5055 at 0700, arrive San Juan 0820. Tish, what an awful experience you had, why is this happening? Why is it so darn hard to get to Bonaire??

Cheryl, I'd like to think that since it's so hard to get to Bonaire....that's why it isn't crowded and the big hotel chains etc. have never made it to the island. I've had my luggage delayed, but am on island time before I leave the house and am well prepared for delays...as they always seem to happen (especially from the left coast) :-)

Cheryl, you go that right...shhhhhh.....it is HORRIBLE trying to get to Bonaire ;-)...that being said, it takes about 24-26 hours on AA to get to Bonaire from the left coast, how long from Ontario?

Took me 48 hours to get my suitcase, Pat, and AA never notified me it was here, but the customs people said it had arrived only a few minutes before I checked the airport. It did not arrive on an AA flight. If only it could speak and tell me about its adventures!

Cyn, it will take us 13 hours - which is a real tease if we only have a week; but this year we are taking 2 weeks so I'm not complaining one bit, I intend to put my feet up and enjoy the ride!!:o) .... catching up on my reading about Bonaire and all it has to offer.

To get to Bon from New Jersey for less than a full week, I have to take Jet Blue from EWR or JFK to San Juan, AE to Bonaire. I lose a full day each way. It's criminal. Actually, I could take a different plane to San Juan, but still, the AE does not leave until night.

Or I can fly to Aruba and fly over from there, but checking/rechecking baggage, etc. What a pain. The rest of the offerings is once a week.

<sigh>
