Can anyone tell me what are the luggage restrictions (weight & dimensions) for carry-on and checked baggage on Bonaire Express? Their web site doesn't have this info. I've been told the restrictions are less than what Air Jamaica allows.

Thanks, Claire

Claire I'm not sure if it's changed, but last summer it was 66 lbs. I believe. Less than that unless you tell them you are a diver and then you get the extra 10 lb. allowance. (but this is when it was still Bonaire Exel)

Just returned from Bonaire using BonairExpress to and from Aruba. Weight limits are 20 kg (44 lbs) per person unless you have it noted in your record that you are a diver and then you are allowed an extra 10 kg (22 lb) for a total per person of 30 kg (66 lb). While technically BE's weight total should include all baggage including carry-ons, BE only weighed the checked bags.

BE's ATR-42s have very small overhead compartments that can not hold the small suitcases that normally fit in the overheads of the larger jets. For both of our flights, we each carried 1 19-20" rolling suitcase aboard and left them in a small closet/baggage area at the top of the stairs at the back of the airplane. Some people left these same size bags near the stairs and they were then loaded in the regular baggage compartment at the front of the airplane. We also carried a small computer bag onboard and that easily fit in the overhead compartment.
