Ann, I have twice checked two bags (pushing the weight limit) and had a carry on as well.

I have checked two bags many times on BE, Ann. But keep in mind that BE is unpredictable, so don't promise them. Just say that seems to be their usual policy or go to the airport and get it in writing. :-)
